The installation of Type DSH Galvanized Steel Automatic Double Leaf Smoke Vent is the most economical way to add fire venting protection, especially in large areas such as warehouses or manufacturing facilities. 

These smoke vents come with powerful gas spring operators that allow cover opening even during snow and wind conditions, and gas springs with internal dampers to ensure that the covers open at a controlled rate. Moreover, these Type DSH vents come with a curb-mounted fusible link housing that allows for a quick and easy reset of the latch from the roof level. Upon melting a UL-listed 165°F (74°C) fusible link, these smoke vents automatically release the vent covers because of the Thermolatch® II positive hold/release mechanism.

Special features of these doors include a positive hold/release mechanism controlled by a single UL-listed 165°F (74°C) fusible link with a different latching point for each cover, with interior and exterior pull release cables to manually open vent covers. The latch can hold the covers closed against a 90 psf wind uplift force. The Type DSH is available in several standard UL-listed sizes to ensure it meets fire safety codes and regulations.
