The sound rating has an STC 50 - OITC 39. Not only can this provide efficient sound insulation, but it’s also beneficial whenever there’s internal fire. The material is a 14 gauge galvanneal steel. For the insulation, it’s a mineral wool with a sound mat in cover and curb; total R-14. The latch is a zinc-plated steel rotary designed to hold covers closed against 90psf wind uplift. It’s also UL 793 listed, optional FM 4330 approved.
