For 30” x96” Type L roof hatches, BestRoofHatches recommends installing the Type RL2-L Service Stair Access Roof Hatch Safety Railing System. This safety railing system is for aiding in the more effortless movement for maintenance personnel, tools, and equipment from a full-size stairway.
Our Type RL2-L has the standard size of 2’-6” x 8’-0” frame opening. However, we also offer custom sizes if you prefer a particular size to meet your unique building requirements. This product comes with 1¼” schedule 40 pipes in 6061 T6 aluminum alloy rails and aluminum post supports for corrosion-resistance.
For better security and safety, this assembly also includes corner brackets and stainless steel spring hinges. When installed, the top of the rail is set 42” above the roof surface or deck. All fasteners and pins are stainless steel. This product also has a self-closing gate and cast aluminum gate latch for tight security.
